Do You Travel?

How (and where) do you think we sit, Mr./Mrs. Architect???

Fair warning here: this is totally off topic- is it?

If you are a marketer (coach, speaker, consultant- you name it), you have to travel.

If you are a good marketer (see above), you have to travel a LOT.

If you have to travel a lot, it means you have to wait for your connection flights.

So what do you do? You might want to read a book, prepare the next presentation (since you’re late already) or do some social networking.

At least you have to sit somewhere- right?

And this is where the pain starts:

Have you tried to sit on a construction like this one for more than 15 minutes?

are YOU able to sit here?

  1. sitting level is just too low (and I am not a GIANT!).
  2. sharp edges
  3. hard unpadded seat and backrest hurts and makes you sweat

So dear Mr./Mrs. Architekt- did you sit on it for at least 1 hour?
If so (and even if it was ok for you)- dou you know we are different?
Did you ask other people about the feelings, their experiences?

All we need is a place to wait. Sometimes we are tired already, and maybe sometimes our loved kids and family are with us as well.

The job of any airport is (my point of view and maybe I am wrong) to provide us with flights and in case of waiting  for a connection to provide us with space which is usable at least. And NO we are not registered for all VIP areas, just to mention it.

Did you experience this as well or am I just wrong, is this supposed to get used to do some exercise?

If you found things like this I’d love to hear from you and see your pics in the comments below (even good examples will be very welcome).

So far I nominate Dresden Airport (DRS) for the

  • BAD ASS AWARD 2013.

Please send in your pics and what it made you to nominate it.
Additional message to the airport company is welcome too.

I’ll send out a survey 4 weeks from now so you will be able to vote for the winner.

And yes, we’ll find someone wherever in this world to deliver the (definetly ugly) award …

Thanks for you input and thanks for sharing.
